About Me

Hello, I am Mariia Solo from Porvoo, Finland. A web developer and UI/UX designer with a passion for creating purposeful, functional, and user-centered digital products. I am always seeking innovative ways to solve problems and enhance users' experiences through new designs and functionalities.

Currently, I am a final-year student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. In 2016, I graduated from LAB University of Applied Sciences with a bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. Additionally, in 2023, I completed a study module at Arcada University of Applied Sciences in Digital Content Creation.

    Project work to finalise my studies at Haaga-Helia UAS that involves creating a website using the WordPress website builder. The Elementor Pro plugin was used to customize the site, along with CSS and JavaScript coding to add specific features and functionalities, thus avoiding the need to pay for extra plugins.

    Internship that is aimed to improve my UX/UI design skills. Among responsibilities are creating wireframes and prototypes based on the given business case, working on data analysis, creating use case diagrams, defining future system user roles, helping with frontend development of the future app.
